Q: Why can the J03 scooter not turn on after being fully charged, but it can turn on when the charger is connected?

This is likely a battery issue. Please measure the voltage at the battery discharge port. If the battery is faulty, we will arrange a replacement battery.

Q: The J03 cannot be charged. The charger light is on, but no power is being delivered to the scooter. Why?

Please check whether the charging port is properly connected and not reversed. If necessary, replace the charging port.

Q: Why does the charger show a green light immediately after plugging in?

This may indicate a charger issue. We can resend a new charger and charging port.

Q: Why is the range of the J03 insufficient?

The range depends on riding habits, road conditions, and rider weight. Riding in gear 1 (eco mode) provides the best range. Riding in gear 3 (high speed) will consume battery faster, which is normal.

Q: The J03 makes abnormal noise, and the speed display only shows up to 16 km/h. Why?

Please provide a video for confirmation. We will arrange to resend the controller and display if necessary.

Q: What should I do if the speed cannot increase?

We will arrange to resend the controller and rear wheel.

Q: Why can the scooter only reach about 15 km/h?

We will resend the controller and display, and also check whether the issue is related to the battery.

Q: Why is the motor weak, making a clicking noise, and sometimes unable to run?

This is likely a controller failure. We will arrange to resend the controller.

Q: Why can the J03 not be turned on when first received?

Please check whether the main cable connections are secure and whether the waterproof connector pins are damaged.

Q: Why does the scooter power on but cannot start riding?

Please check whether the scooter requires a non-zero start (kick-start). Try pushing the scooter slightly before accelerating.

Q: The display is working normally, but the scooter cannot start. What should I do?

Q: The scooter suddenly stopped working / shuts down within 5 minutes / turns off immediately after powering on. Why?

Q: What is the riding range?

In eco mode, the range is approximately 45โ€“50 km, depending on rider weight, terrain, and riding conditions.

Q: What is the battery voltage?

Fully charged voltage: 54.4V
Normal voltage difference (J11): within 1V
Low voltage protection: 39.6V

Q: Is there a speed limit?

Yes. Press the M button 5 times to activate eco mode, which limits the speed to about 25 km/h.

Q: What are the speed levels?

When unrestricted, the speeds are:
Gear 1: 20 km/h
Gear 2: 30 km/h
Gear 3: 55 km/h

Q: What should I do if the controller fails?

It is recommended to replace the controller.

Q: What if the motor makes noise or doesn't spin?

Possible causes include:

This is usually caused by a display wiring issue.

Q: The brakes are not strong enough. What should I do?

This scooter uses a one-finger braking system. Make sure to fully press the brake lever for effective braking performance.

Q: The rear wheel is not spinning / the front motor does not work in dual-drive mode. What should I do?

First, check whether the motor wiring is loose or disconnected.
If the front motor does not work in dual-drive mode, connect it to the rear motor port for testing:
โ€ข If it works โ†’ replace the dual-drive switch assembly
โ€ข If it still does not work โ†’ replace the motor

Q: Can the throttle be modified to a thumb throttle?

Modification is not recommended, as it may affect performance and safety.

Q: What should I do if the display is flickering or completely black?

Replacing the display unit can resolve this issue.

Q: Why does the display show full battery even when the battery is empty?

This is usually caused by an incorrect voltage setting.

Q: What type of brake fluid is used for the J30 MAX?

The scooter uses No. 46 hydraulic oil.

๐Ÿšจ Error Codes
E-001 โ€“ Motor Hall Sensor Error

Check the rear motor hall sensor cable connection. If all connections are fine but the error persists, replace the rear motor.

E-002 โ€“ Brake Lever Error

If the error appears when the scooter is first powered on, check if the brake lever returns properly. If it does or the scooter has been used for a while, the brake lever is likely faulty โ€” replace it.

E-006 โ€“ Low Voltage Protection

Battery power is too low โ€” please recharge the scooter.

E-008 โ€“ Throttle / Accelerator Error

If the error appears upon first use, check whether the throttle returns properly. If it occurs after some time of use, the accelerator is likely faulty โ€” replace the throttle.

E-009 โ€“ Controller Error

Replace the controller.

E-010 โ€“ Dashboard Communication Receive Error

Replace both the dashboard and the controller together.

This may be caused by a controller failure. Replacing the controller is recommended.

5. New controller installed but still not working

Please check whether all wiring connections are secure and ensure the controller matches your scooter model.
